The 0-10 Streak to Continue?

This is a story that is on everyones mind. After last season’s humiliating record, everyone thought there was only one way to go. Up, but last thursdays game dampened even the fiercest High Tide pride. By interviewing the coaches and returning players, this article will give an inside view of what the problem really is and just how they plan to lay out the kinks that need to be laid out in order to restore their very own brand of school spirit.

Beach High Dance Team

Due to the fact that the school’s dance team was only formed last year and consisted of only a handful of girls, most students aren’t aware of its existance. Whether or not its former anonymousness was for the better has yet to be seen. For this story, I plan on interviewing the dance “captain”, new and returing dancers as well as Mrs. Legree, the teams sponser. I think this will be a great feature story because it could go either way. They very well might astound us with great music, moves and dancers like everyone is expecting. However, the fact that they don’t hold auditions and their music dates back to 2000 doesn’t bode well for them, but may do wonders for this article.

 Military Parents in Iraq

Although only a few people will be able to relate to the story, readers may find a common interest. For this story, I plan to interview students who have or had parents deployed to Iraq or Kuwait. I also hope to get quotes from veterans as well. Then to really connect the article to those who have not had the experience, I will ask average kids about their thoughts on the war and how the believe they  would cope with it. Although it may not posses the humor or lighthearted nature that people enjoy reading, I still believe people will be drawn to it.
